Richard S Meredith

Principal/Creative Director

Richard S Meredith is a professional Singer, Performer, Teacher and Director.

Richard successfully auditioned for a full scholarship and completed a 3-year Musical Theatre course under the guidance of Trinity College, London. Richard continued to further his training with London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art (LAMDA) along with a multitude of other training courses. After completing Theatre school, he released a single in 2008, entitled “I Wanna Take Care of You”. Following his single release Richard played one of the lead roles in the world premiere of 80’s Mania at the Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham.

Richard has visited all avenues of the industry gaining experience in all aspects. Richard has extensive commercial experience, working regularly on programme’s such as; Doctors, Casualty and Hustle. Richard toured Europe in 2009 with the critically acclaimed “We Will Rock You”, playing the role of Brit. After this successful tour he went on to appear as one of the lead vocalists in “The Best of Musicals” in Paris, France. Richard’s live performance experience has lead him to grace the stages of prestigious venues through London’s West End.

In 2011, after Richard’s successful touring he invested in establishing premises for his stage academy, teaching both children and adults in all three disciplines; Singing, Acting and Dance – this marked the birth of RSM Stage Academy.

The academy has gone from strength to strength gaining performance credits in Sadler’s Wells Theatre, Royal Albert Hall, Her Majesty’s Theatre and now recently performed in 2017 at the iconic Indigo at The O2 in London.
Gaining CDET Recognised School status and developing such a high standard provision has set RSM Stage Academy as one of the leading performing arts schools in the UK.

At the beginning of 2016 saw RSM Stage Academy relocate and doors open to the new state-of-the-art facility. Continuing to excel the Academy has an ever-growing array of exciting opportunities available. Richard’s vision shall continue to develop, nurturing the confidence, personal development and outlook of all students whilst carrying them forwards into a bright, prosperous future in performing arts.

Richard has gained invaluable directing and producing experiences throughout the entirety of his training and career to date. This lead to the creation of outstanding performances of ‘We Will Rock You’ and ‘Hairspray’ to mark the launch of a local theatre in recent years.

Richard’s exceptional experiences, skills and talent have come to be highly respected by professionals through the industry. Richard has recently been one of the judges for ‘That’s Showbiz’, a nationally recognised competition which showcases some of the UK’s best in dance and performing arts talent.

Along with his professional work outside the academy, Richard has recently been busy in the recording studio working on new original material as the artist name RICHS and in 2017 saw the release of his first official single “See My Vision”, which has been released on Midlands based label “Strawberry Moon Records”. This is now available to download on all major music platforms. He is set to release in 2018 his forthcoming EP, which will include all original material.

Deborah Scattergood

Drama Teacher and Performance Director

Debbie studied at Loughborough University, graduating in 2001 with a B.A. Honours Degree in Drama and Theatre Arts. Since then she has performed with numerous theatre companies such as Deep Impact Theatre and Project 300 and is currently a Trustee and board member for Maverick Theatre Company.

She also worked as an Entertainer as part of a Dance Troupe. She is currently a writer/performer for the Birmingham based comedy group ‘In the Pelican’s Mouth’. Debbie also writes and is currently working on an original script to be performed in 2016.


Debbie has extensive teaching and directing experience and has been with RSM Stage Academy for over 2 years. She has worked as a Drama workshop leader for Great George’s Community Cultural Project and Maverick Youth Academy as well as preparing students for LAMDA examinations in Acting, Speech and Communication.''I look forward to continuing to raise standards at the Academy and make sure each student reaches their full potential.''

Tanya Anderson

Dance Teacher and Choreographer

Tanya has been a professional dancer since the age of 16; she has been a dancer for many years performing at high profile music artist’s concerts, club nights, music videos, award shows and has performed in countries such as America, Kenya, Denmark and Dubai.
As a choreographer her cutting edge choreography has lead to her teaching master classes in France, Italy, Spain and Greece. Tanya regularly appears on the judging panel of nationwide music competitions Live and Unsigned and Open Mic UK.


In 2009 Tanya founded Fierce Productionz, the all female dance agency that supplies professional dancers and choreographers to the commercial and corporate industry. Fierce Productionz currently represents dancers who have performed for Katy Perry, Pink, Whitney Houston and Pixie Lott and supplies dancers and choreography for Award Shows, Music Videos, Tours and Musical Theatre touring shows.

Amiee Louise Lyons

Business Administration & Photographer

Amiee started her career as a children’s entertainer for a holiday resort in Weston-Super-Mare at the age of 18. She has also had various jobs in retail, administration and customer service, gaining extensive experience in all three, as well as a qualification in Business Administration.


At the age of 22, Amiee went back to college to train as a professional photographer. After graduating her three year course in 2011, she went on to own her own business with her friend and business partner. Together, they formed A* Photography. Specialising in photographing weddings, individual shoots, christenings, parties, events, workshops and children and baby photography.



Amiee also has a keen interest in writing and has written a number of novels, as yet unpublished. Aimee is privileged to have become part of the RSM team and looks forward to a future at the academy.

Jade N Lockley

Promotions and Events Manager

Jade has a keen interest in performing arts and a passion for creativity, having taken part in a number of performances from a young age, including BBC's One Night of Shakespeare, National Youth Theatre Festival and Vanessa Ford's production of 101 Dalmatians in her childhood.

Jade has visited a variety of industries throughout her career. Qualifying as a hairdresser in 2008 having completed a 3 year training programme and gaining extensive experience in Customer Service, Jade moved on to then work in administration. In 2011 Jade successfully developed and a business enterprise through Princes Trust and broadened her business knowledge and expanded on her qualifications. Jade currently writes for Counteract Magazine along with a handful of other online media publications; covering live music performances, news, reviews and releases in Birmingham and beyond. She is also a partner in JM Music, a West Midlands based music promotions and management team supporting the growth and development of unsigned acts from across the UK and United States.



Jade is highly anticipating the exciting opportunities which lie ahead at RSM Stage Academy and is actively flying the flag for performers represented by RSM Performers Agency.

Ollie Botterill

Creative Choreographer & Tap Teacher

Ollie trained at LCPA, graduating with a Trinity National Diploma in Musical Theatre and 3 B.T.D.A Diplomas. Ollie started his professional career dancing for Carnival Cruise Lines, has also appeared in many shows such as, ‘Tap Factory’ (Worldwide), ’Simply Gershwin’ (Guest Tap Duo, UK Tour), ‘Spirit of the Dance’ (Lead tapper, Worldwide), ‘Tap Dance Fever’ (UK, South Africa and Canada), ‘Taimid Seanachai - A Celtic Evolution’ (Canada), ‘Hollywood Spectacular’ (UK), ‘Dora’ (West End) to name a few. 

He has danced in many different trade shows across the UK from Bridal Shows to Printwear and has also appeared in several television adverts. Ollie formed a tap duo called ‘TAPmosphere’ for entertainment in the corporate market, from that it lead him to choreographing a new tap show called ‘The Rhythm Club’ which opened September 2014. 

He teaches across the UK at serval different colleges as well doing workshops throughout the year. In 2015 he became part of the teaching faculty for Tap Attack.

Gaz Davis

Guest Choreographer and Dance Teacher

Gaz has worked across the industry for many years as a dancer. His Commercial Credits include working with Joe McElderry, X Factor, Britain's Got Talent, Pixie Lott, Children In Need, Take That, Plan B, Brit Awards, Duffy, Popstar to Operastar, Lynx Commercial, Paul O'Grady Show, Mamma Mia (Film), London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony, The Voice, Kelly Clarkson, Olly Murs, Iceland Christmas Commercial and other credits.

Gaz has worked extensively in fashion shows which include Adidas, Reebok, Speedo, Wella, Britain's Next Top Model and The Clothes Show Live (assistant choreographer). Also assistant choreographer for Gareth Walker on L'Oreal hair shows and assistant choreographer for Natricia Bernard.

His past experience in the West End on shows like Boogie Nights, Starlight Express, Never Forget also cruise liners such as the Royal Caribbean combined with his commercial credits give his choreography depth and variety.


Gaz was delighted to be asked to guest teach at RSM Stage Academy and is looking forward to many more classes and workshops here at the academy.

Graeme Pickering

Guest Choreographer and Dance Teacher

Graeme began his training at LIPA - The Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, Paul McCartney’s Fame School. He furthered his training in Musical Theatre at Liverpool Theatre School where he graduated with a Distinction.
Graeme began working for Celebrity Cruise Lines new production company as Assistant Choreographer for their bi-annual auditions in London and is now the London Casting Coordinator for the company.

He also works as Choreographer for Pantomime productions within the UK. Graeme works in various distinguished full time dance and theatre schools across the UK, training aspiring students to succeed in show business.
During his time as a performer, Graeme was fortunate to travel the world on luxury cruise lines performing in first class production shows. He worked for Costa Cruises, Carnival Cruises, Celebrity Cruises and the prestigious, world famous company - Cunard Line.

Graeme was also fortunate to be a part of the celebrations for the Olympics London 2012.


Other credits include: Prince Charming (Birmingham Barclaycard Arena Panto PR), David Cassidy/Donny Osmond/John Travolta (A Salute to the 1970s), Ensemble (The Wizard of Oz - Easter Tour), Dancer (Disney’s Camp Rock 2: Pass It On UK Tour), White Swan (The Only Way IS Essex/Lakeside PR).

Jon Ford Smith

Guest Creative Director & Choreographer

Since graduating from Performer's College in 2006, Jon has worked all over the world.
His career has ranged from music videos to musical theatre, from T.V. shows to world arena tours. Along the way, Jon has been fortunate enough to work with, and learn from, some of the best creative minds in the business such as Phil Wm. McKinley, Bruno Tonioli, Liam Steel, Richie Jackson, Brian Rogers, Hakeem Onibudo, Chris Baldock, Rick Sordelet, Joacim Hedman, John Scott and Blanca Li.

As a performer Jon has appeared in many prestigious venues such as London's Coliseum Theatre, The O2 Arena and Theater Des Westens in Berlin. He has featured on TV shows such as Top of the Pops, The Late Late Show, RTL Chart Show and GMTV, also not to mention numerous award shows such as The Brit Awards and The Irish Music Awards. He has worked with artists such as Lily Allen, Alesha Dixon and Blazin' Squad and has performed in the German production of “We Will Rock You” in Cologne, Stuttgart and Berlin.

Jon's work as a choreographer has included music videos in Los Angeles, Berlin and Oslo, original shows for Color Line cruise ships, musicals such as Jason Robert Brown's 'Songs For A New World' and corporate clients such as Sky, Esporta/Virgin Active, Diesel and Toyota, among others.

He is also the founder and director of Alpha Elite Workshops, providing workshops of the highest quality across the U.K. and Europe
